Internships granted by the Senate
For postgraduates - archival, documentary and library training related to the official activity of the Senate
Amount: fifteen annual internships consisting of twelve pay periods, payable at the end of each month, in the amount of 800 euros gross (9,600 euros per annum).
Purpose: archival, documentary and library training, aimed at young degree holders who wish to specialise in these fields.
Beneficiaries: holders of a university degree on the level of a three-year Diploma programme or a Licentiate degree in Library Science and Documentation or of a Degree in Information and Documentation, as well as holders of any graduate or undergraduate university degree showing they have undertaken studies in archival, library or documentary subject matters during at least 200 course hours.
For postgraduates - practical training in institutional communication relating to the Senate
Amount: three annual internships consisting of twelve pay periods, payable at the end of each month, in the amount of 900 euros gross (10,800 euros per annum).
Purpose: training in internal and external institutional communication, aimed at young degree holders who wish to specialise in this field.
Beneficiaries: holders of an advanced university degree in Journalism, as well as holders of an equivalent official undergraduate degree.
Internships funded by the Senate
For the training of specialists and the promotion of research in certain areas of the Prado Museum
Entity awarding the internship: Museo Nacional del Prado.
Amount: an annual internship (with the possibility of a single extension once only for an additional annual period) consisting of twelve pay periods, payable at the end of each month, in the amount of 1,500 euros gross (18.000 euros per annum).
Purpose: training of specialists and the promotion of research in the areas of the Prado Museum to be determined in each notice.
Beneficiaries: holders of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Art History or a recognised equivalent degree in effect, in relation to the internship to be performed.
Giménez Abad Seminar on the Parliament
Amount: reimbursement of plane, train or coach return ticket, from the participant’s place of residence to Madrid, applying the most economical rate.
Free accommodation (Accommodation/Breakfast) in a nearby hotel establishment arranged by the Senate, except for participants who reside in Madrid.
Travel allowance and maintenance per participant: 170€
Purpose: to provide intensive training on the organisation and functioning of the Parliament and, in particular, of the Spanish Senate, to twelve university students who meet the requirements stated in the notice
Beneficiaries: Application for participation in this Seminar may be made by persons undertaking a master’s degree or who are students in their final year of studies for a licentiate degree or a degree in Law or Legal Science, Political Science or Sociology (whether jointly with other university areas of specialisation or not) at public or private universities or university centres in Spain or in any other European Union member country.
Applicants who are not Spanish nationals must provide evidence of a sufficient level of knowledge of the Spanish language.
Luis Carandell Prize for parliamentary journalism
Amount: 6,000 euros
Purpose: recover the tradition of this journalistic genre and at the same time to honour the memory of one of the best parliamentary reporters of the twentieth century.
Beneficiaries: journalists or media professionals who stand out in the dissemination of information, reporting on or in defence of the parliamentary institutions.
The Alberto Jiménez-Becerril Foundation against Terrorism and Violence
Amount: 6,000 euros.
Purpose: financing of the Programme of Remembrance Ceremonies and Assistance to the Victims of Terrorism and of the Seventh Contest of Creators for Freedom and Peace.
