Agreements entered into by Parliament and currently in force.  

Agreements entered into by the Senate currently in effect

Agreement with Red Nacional de Ferrocarriles Españoles (RENFE - Spanish National Railway)

Purpose: to establish a system for the payment of RENFE train tickets issued to Senators, by using a nominative credit card system, in order to facilitate the travel by rail of the Senators and simplify the billing and collection process.

In effect : since 06/02/1990.

Financial obligations covenanted: the Senate will pay RENFE monthly the total amount of all of the travel undertaken by the Senators during the month referred to on the relevant invoice. RENFE will apply a 10% discount as from a half-yearly minimum amount of ticket purchases.

Cooperation Agreement with the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Reina Sofía National Art Museum)

Purpose: conservation and restoration of the works of art owned by the Senate, as well as of other works deposited in this institution.

In effect: since 09/02/1999. Extended annually by mutual agreement between the parties.

No financial obligations are generated.

Cooperation Agreement with the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre - Real Casa de la Moneda (Mint)

Purpose: creation of medals and numismatic articles or other products within the scope of the purposes of the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre – Real Casa de la Moneda, appropriate for use as Senate protocol courtesy gifts.

In effect: since 06/07/2004.

The financial obligations will depend on the work commissioned by the Senate.

Cooperation Agreement with the Museo Nacional del Prado (Prado Museum)

Purpose: official consultancy provided to the Senate on all issues connected with the art collections of the Upper House included within the competencies of the Prado Museum.

In effect: since 12/09/2018. Extended annually by mutual agreement between the parties.

Financial obligations covenanted: The Senate will fund the public notice for the award of a contract/internship for specialised training in  museology and museum curation with an annual amount of 18,000 euros.

Agreement with the Government of the Community of Madrid

Purpose: determination of the Hospital Ramón y Cajal as the reference healthcare centre for Senators.

In effect: since 21/02/2006. Extended annually by mutual agreement between the parties.

No financial obligations are generated.

Cooperation Agreement with the University of Oviedo

Purpose: training of Senate staff and university students in the University Specialist Programme in State and International Ceremonial and Protocol.

In effect: since 14/01/2009. Extended annually by mutual agreement between the parties.

No financial obligations are generated.

Agreement with the company Comercial del Ferrocarril S.A. (COMFERSA) (outsourced to the company Saba Park 3 S.L.U)

Purpose: invoicing to the Senate of the car park services used by the Senators at the RENFE railway stations.

In effect: since 01/07/2013. Extended annually by mutual agreement between the parties.

Financial obligations covenanted: invoicing for the services exceeding the parking time limit included with RENFE train tickets.

Agreement with Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (ADIF) (outsourced to the company Saba Park 3 S.L.U)

Purpose: the invoicing to the Senate of the car park services used by the Senators at the RENFE railway stations.

In effect: since 01/08/2013. Extended annually by mutual agreement between the parties.

Financial obligations covenanted: invoicing for the services exceeding the parking time limit included with RENFE train tickets.

Collaboration agreement with the Madrid Regional Government Digital Administration Agency

Purpose: assignment of the right to use de ATLAS applications development framework.

Validity: effective from September 5th, 2016. Extended annually by agreement between the parties.

No economic obligations generated.

Agreement with the State Vehicle Fleet

Subject: to organise the list of extraordinary motor vehicle services provided by the State Vehicle Fleet and requested by the Senate.

Period of validity: four years as of 18/09/2018, extendable for up to four more years by mutual agreement between the parties.

Agreed financial obligations: In the event of the Senate requesting extraordinary motor vehicle services, the agreement establishes that consideration will be accrued amounting to the sum set out in the official approved and valid fees for services provided by the State Vehicle Fleet. Currently the Senate is not provided with extraordinary motor vehicle services.
